7/27/2008	Avenger Fiction Workshop	Explore new stories, expansions of existing story threads, new or updated characters, and more! We can discuss any topic relating to Avenger's fictional world, but I'd like to emphasize ideas for folks to contribute, even if in short vignettes, as well as creating and updating characters. Stories can be of any length, from 1 page to dozens, so don't feel you have to write a novel to participate. :)

10/5/2008	USS Challenger Adopt-A-Dune	Challenger does it's regular maintenance of it's adopted Dune at 8th Avenue and Boardwalk in Ortley Beach NJ. We'll be cleaning up, planting some new grass and enjoying a picnic lunch.

10/11/2008	USS Challenger's 20th Anniversary Party	USS Challenger's 20th anniversary party & buffet dinner. The party will take place at 7:00 pm on October 11, 2008 at the Sheraton Eatontown Hotel in Eatontown NJ. The menu will include a green garden salad, tomato and basil salad, traditional antipasto platter, Chicken Saltimbocca, Sliced Beef Sirloin, Vegearian Lasagna, assorted sides and dessert. An cash bar will be available but all coffees, teas and soft drinks are included in your admission price. Additionally, the Challenger has set aside a room for a Region 7 meeting and mini-conference at 1:00 pm for those folks who are attending this event. No one will be allowed entrance to the meeting who have not paid in advance for thier dinner. There is no "meeting only" option for this event.
